I’ve known Paula .... for almost 10 years. She joined the family when she married my son, David, in 2016. She’s been a stalwart in planning family activities since then.

Paula is extremely organized. I’ve seen her deal with the fallout of a flooded home, the travails of living in temporary housing, in helping to buy and sell two homes, and to maintain and upgrade her current one. She and David have done a major yard project this spring and summer, regularly visit my wife at her seniors’ facility, and can be depended on to assist with home projects and shopping.

Paula’s profession as a teacher of autistic students defines “helping to better the lives” of some of the least fortunate among us. She is a school department head, a leader, an organizer, an officer in the community garden club, a go-getter on projects at school and in the community. She balances work with home and finances and outreach. She and David are eager travelers. David is an active gamer and handles much of the cooking and meal-planning.

As my wife’s health has declined, I’ve seen David and Paula work with her and counsel and coach, in personal and practical matters. Paula has several times been a travel companion for Jeanne on out of town trips and medical visits. I see stability and a strong marriage.
