I have a bit of a "musical brain" and played a musical instrument from childhood through my early twenties. I love spending time outdoors and admiring the beauty in everyday things. I also enjoy cooking, both as a way of nurturing others and as an outlet for creativity. Writing has also been a longtime interest and a strength of mine, although I mostly only have time for work-related writing tasks these days. I have been told that empathy is my "super power". I do think that this ability to see others' perspectives and to care deeply about them has helped me greatly in both my personal and professional relationships. My job as a pediatric occupational therapist intertwines many of these interests and strengths. I get to be creative and analytic, to collaborate with others, and to help people develop their fullest potential. It brings me great joy to help and nurture others.

My hobbies as a younger person were long-distance running, hiking, guitar, and some grappling (wrestling & jiu jitsu). Busier and older, my hobbies are now photography, walking, some weightlifting, family history research, and occasionally a bit of guitar.
My actual talent is another matter. Math and computer science have always been strong interests and abilities. I've made a long career out of that, and continue to stay close to recent innovations, although rounded out with some product and leadership focus (I am not a pure researcher).
Anything else would you like to mention about your talents, skills, interests
My allergies are to grass pollens.
